Maiko Enomoto

After graduating from the Music Department of Toho Girls' High School, she completed the Toho Gakuen Soloist Diploma Course with the highest grades. She studied with Koichiro Harada while in school, and with Dora Schwarzberg and Leonid Sorokov at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and won the third prize at the Pablo Sarasate International Violin Competition in 2003. In 2008, she became the first Japanese woman to join the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. She performs solo and chamber music mainly in Austria, and also devotes herself to teaching younger students.
